Program / Functional Magnetic Stimulation
FMS
FMS is a versatile platform by Iskra Medical for functional magnetic stimulation in rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, neurophysiotherapy and pelvic floor treatments.
The essence of FMS technology
One platform for different fields of physiotherapy
FMS uses high-intensity pulsed magnetic fields and the principle of electromagnetic induction to stimulate nerves, muscles and other tissues without direct contact with the skin.
The system was developed by Iskra Medical, a manufacturer with more than 30 years of experience in physiotherapy technology. FMS is designed as a modular platform that adapts to different professional fields, treatment goals and work organization.
Depending on the selected configuration, users have access to different applicators, number of channels, preset programs and the possibility of creating their own protocols.
- Painless, non-invasive and contactless application.
- Deep stimulation of muscles, nerves and other tissues.
- Programs for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and pelvic floor health.
- Possibility of static, dynamic and hands-free work.
- No consumables or disposable accessories.
Fields of application
FMS in modern physiotherapy practice
One platform can support the work of different professional teams and a large number of professional protocols.
Musculoskeletal rehabilitation
Support for work with muscles, joints, nerves, pain, function and recovery after injuries or surgical procedures.
Sports physiotherapy
Application in sports centers and clubs for recovery, activation, strengthening and return to functional activities.
Neurophysiotherapy
Support for professional protocols aimed at stimulation of the neuromuscular system and improvement of functional response.
Pelvic floor health
Non-invasive and discreet application in programs for female and male pelvic floor dysfunctions and the lumbosacral region.
Main FMS program
FMS Chair
FMS Chair is a dedicated, comfortable and non-invasive solution for conservative pelvic floor and lower back treatments.
The chair has two built-in and adjustable applicators. The applicator in the seat is directed toward the pelvic floor, while the second applicator is positioned in the backrest and intended for the lumbosacral region. The applicators can operate individually or simultaneously.
The treatment does not require special preparation, does not include invasive procedures and allows the patient to remain clothed. This increases comfort, privacy and ease of use in everyday clinical practice.
Pelvic floor
The applicator in the seat stimulates structures connected with the pelvic floor, while the applicator in the backrest enables an additional approach to sacral neuromodulation. The program is intended for professional work with different female and male pelvic floor dysfunctions.
Lumbar region
The applicator in the backrest can be used in conservative programs for lower back pain, muscle activation, strengthening and functional improvement.
FMS platforms
Uno, Stym and Care according to the needs of your practice
Three configurations use the same FMS concept, but differ in the number of channels, simultaneous stimulation options, compatible applicators and intended use.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about FMS technology
Answers for physiotherapy practices, rehabilitation centers, sports teams and institutions working with pelvic floor health.
FMS uses high-intensity pulsed magnetic fields. Changes in the magnetic field induce electrical current in nerve structures, which may lead to depolarization and muscle contractions.
The main differences are the number of channels, maximum intensity, compatible applicators, possibility of simultaneous stimulation and support for pelvic floor programs. Care is the most complete configuration and the only one that connects with the FMS Chair system.
No. FMS Chair is a dedicated chair with two built-in applicators, while FMS Care is a four-channel platform that includes pelvic floor programs and enables connection with the chair.
Yes. The treatment is non-invasive, does not require special preparation and the patient remains clothed during the procedure.
FMS is designed without consumables and disposable materials, which simplifies work organization and the costs of everyday application.
Yes. The choice can be aligned with the type of institution, fields of work, number of therapists, planned protocols and the need to work with the pelvic floor.
